TOE SHOES?

I have actually bought four pairs. Why? And are they all the same? NO! Only two...haha, and only because I love this type the best. Vibram Fivefingers are AMAZING! They actually activate the natural spring in your step. They help your balance and many other things. If you have any questions about them refer to the www.vibramfivefingers.com site. I LOVE THESE SHOES! I run in them, water ski in them, use them for casual use, and much more. I love them that much! At first when I wore them, I stepped on a rock and was expecting it to hurt,...NOTHING. I LOVE THEM! My Komodosport LS vibrams I purchased the first time were $115.00...EXPENSIVE! Well, lucky you guys...I just found a wonderful site that has them for $54.99 (Other models less, like the Bikilas...only $35.99! WHAT A STEAL!). THIS IS AN AMAZING DEAL! SERIOUSLY! You will love them!  I just bought them...btw....CAN'T WAIT!

Smart Pjs UPDATE!

So a couple of days ago,  I posted something about Smart Pjs and I told you I was going to give you an update on them and how well they work.....Bottom Line....LOVE! My Daughter Ember just LOVES them! I would recommend going up a size. Their sizes are 1,3,5,7 (1 goes up to 3 yrs old, 3 goes up to 5, etc). I got a size 3 even though Ember is only 19 months. They fit PERFECT! I downloaded the app (there is now 2 apps), they are FREE, which is wonderful! I scanned, well let Ember choose the codes, but I scanned them and sure enough, she was learning about Animals on one app (ie, Hippo, Cheetah, Whale, Monkey, Leemur, etc...), and on the other app she was learning all the nursury rhymes! It was Fantastic! LOVE THIS APP! LOVE THESE PJ'S! I would highly recommend them to EVERYONE! I love them! Totally worth the money!
Just go to www.smartpjs.com

Smart Pjs
SAY WHAT?

I was randomly searching for some cute Pajamas for my daughter...I just happen to come accross this site. It is called www.smartpjs.com . When I saw that there were only two different pairs, I was like WHAT? This is retarded, BUT then I realized what they were! They are Pjs that look like they have poka-dots on them....these poka-dots are in groups with different colors....THEY ARE CODES! SAY WHAT? How neat. You buy these Pajamas and you get the free app from the App store on your smart device (ie, Iphone, Ipad, Driod, etc.). You then get these Pajamas which by the way just happen to be on sale from $50.00 to $20.00!, you scan the codes and BOOM, right there, a bedtime story for your boy or girl! HOW AMAZING IS THAT! OVER 30 Bedtime STORIES for only $20.00? I think so! You can't buy that many books for that much...not even close! So, I will be giving you an update on them when I recieve them!

SWIMSUIT SEASON!

I know that summer isn't quite here, BUT I feel it is never too early to start looking for your perfect swimsuit! I don't know about all of you, but my body isn't exactly a model one! I was looking through my swimsuit drawer and realized that I REALLY wanted a swimsuit that fit my body perfectly! I wanted a modest suit, but in no way a "MOM" suit. I am a mother, and so of course I have the stretch marks to show it as well as the extra unwanted skin! I wanted a suit that had a vintage look to it but a sassy look as well. I was lucky enough to come accross a site from a girl who makes CUSTOM swimwear! I looked through all of her suits and fell in love with all of them! It was hard to pick just one! Beverly (the girl that makes them) suggested a few, and I finally found one that I couldn't live without!!! The Rainbow Straps swimsuit! I was able to look through Beverly's fabric and choose my color combination as well as which way I wanted the fabric to go (ie., horizontal, vertical, diagonal) I am so excited to receive it! In a couple of weeks I will be giving you an update on how much I LOVE it! We'll see!

What Can I Do To Help?

Okay so take note....I wrote this way back in 2012...Lol....I have two blogs but decided I only need one. I am trying to merge them. I found this piece and have to say I am so grateful I still have her!.....this is what I wrote:
Today was one of those "Special" Days. I woke up, got ready, shipped something to Colorado, and went about my day. I was able to do a little shopping with one of my friends, go out and eat, and just have a wonderful day! Well, that soon ended around 1:30. I was on my way home, but decided to stop at the bank and deposit some money into our checking account. As I was about to turn into the parking lot, I hear a strange sound from the back. I look back and Ember is throwing her guts up! It wasn't just a little, it was TONS AND TONS! Well I stopped to make sure she was okay and breathing, and when I decided that she was okay I proceeded to turn into the parking lot. JUST BEFORE I could even park, Ember starts throwing up MORE! TONS AND TONS! This time she started turning purple. (She was laying in a car-seat and couldn't get it to come out). Well I freaked out, almost forgot to put the car in park (oh and p.s. I wasn't in a parking spot yet, nope I was in the middle of the drive lane to take a parking spot), flew out my door, went to open her door to get her out as fast as I could, BROKE the car door handle, FINALLY got her out and was able to sit her up so she could get it out. I was almost in tears when a guy came up and said, "Holy Hell (Sorry about the word), that's a lot of puke" followed by, "What can I do to help?" Normally I would be embarrassed to ask for anything in that situation, I mean who wants to mess with puke in any form? But I was too scared about Ember to even think about embarrassment.  I simply asked for him to get my Diaper Bag. He grabbed her blanket and diaper bag, then nicely parked my car for me as I was helping Ember. EVERYTHING WAS SOAKED! The throw up had pooled in her car-seat. Tons of it. It was all over the seat in the car and on the floor. HORRIBLE! I thought, "I should just go and get it detailed so someone else can vacuum all of this." It got all cleaned up thanks to my Husband. He is so amazing. He got the carpet cleaner from his Parents and Cleaned the entire back seat while I was dealing with the baby-seat and Ember. People say that babies are over the choking on throw up stage around 6 months...not mine, so needless to say, I am still afraid of letting her sleep in her own room at nite due to fear of death by choking on throw up.
Still shaky most of the rest of the day, Jason made is better by stating, "Well, that is a mothers strength in times of fear." (Talking about the door handle) "You done broked it clean off." Oh how I love him for making everything better!

Today I was a witness of true Love for a Child! A Mother will do anything to insure that her baby is safe, even if it means breaking the door handle from a non-parked car!

My Kind of Bargain!

So I decided to hit up Yard Sales with my mom (Thank heavens she was driving...I would have been lost!)...YES I GOT A LOT OF STUFF! I woke up early in the morning, had a rough start because things were just not working for me, but I still managed to get there early enough to bargain with people. For all of you non-yard sale people...I just have to say, "GET ON IT!" It is great. Here is what you do. Get onto Craigslist.org, look up garage sales, and BOOM there it is. TONS OF THEM! My favorite are the Neighborhood yard sales, they are usually annual, but when you hit them...it is beautiful! For example I got this Pottery Barn Teen (Known as PBTeen.com) Quilt. It is a full/queen size VERY BEAUTIFUL! I looked it up and it is about $200.00 for just the quilt! My mom helped me talk the lady down to would you believe it...$15.00 for the quilt. I AM IN LOVE!

I will be using this for Ember's Bedroom. It is all the perfect colors you could possibly ask for! NEXT...I got Vibram fivefingers. If you haven't heard of these shoes before...THEY ARE WONDERFUL! They retail depending on the kind (Classic, Spring, Kso...etc.) $55 lowest. THEY ARE EXPENSIVE! They are suppose to really help your balance. They feel like nothing is on your feet. In fact when I got my first classics, I stepped on a rock expecting it to hurt so I JUMPED....it didn't hurt and all I got was a couple of odd and stupid-like looks. Anyway, The first yard sale we stopped at, I found them...Kso Vibrams, I was expecting them to want at least thirty for them...no...they wanted $1.00...yup...a dollar! SO I TOOK THEM! My size, BEAUTIFUL! Love to hike in them, swim in them, exercise in them...everything!

Last but not least. EDDIE BAUER! A stroller. The lady wanted $30.00 for it, but the awesome Ashley talked her down to $5.00 It is beautiful! I LOVE IT! It is at least worth $60.00 used. (Not that I would sell it for that.) BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL! Eddie Bauer is one of Jason and I's favorite brand. Very sturdy.... Not the same color as this one, but same idea...actually the one I got is even better. I might just have to take a picture of it! Ha ha

So, I got tons of stuff, very cheap....and I will be selling some of the great deals after I get them cleaned up....like the vibrams and the stroller. AWESOME DEALS! I got a Papasan chair for Ember...yes it is pink. for $1.00, clothing for 25cents-$1.00 Max. Down coat $2.00 (Kenneth Cole Reaction) and MUCH MUCH MORE! YARD SALES ARE MY KIND OF BARGAIN!

Thriving on your "Fun-ness!"

I remember getting ready for a couple of proms and almost dreading it. I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to get my hair done, or I would trip, or just hate the whole night because things were awkward. Proms were almost disastrous for me, but not for this girl. McKenzie Marlow. This girl is one of the happiest girls I know. I just love her to pieces. You can always count on her for a good laugh. Her cute little smile just brightens your day! Prom was this last Saturday May 12, 2012 and I was scared to do her hair. She was supposed to be home around 4:30 so I was pretty comfortable with that...well she did not get home until after 6:00. She had been four wheeling and paint-balling that day so of course she had to take a shower! I was still nervous. I wasn't even the one going and I was scared! She got out of the shower still happy has can be even though she knew she "might" be late! Well we started on her hair and I can honestly say that she was the one keeping us all happy and sane. She would just laugh and say that it was going to be great! With the help of Kenzie's happiness, Samantha, and her Mom WE WERE ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH GREAT THINGS! All I can say is I thrive on other people's fun-ness and happiness! McKenzie looked like the princess she is. I was so happy to see her face that night and be a part of something great! Oh p.s. the gentleman she went with is Tate Hansen. He is such a sweet guy. He opened the door like a guy should and even helped push her "poofy" dress inside of the vehicle so that it didn't stick out! What a great guy!

Getting her hair done! It turned out beautiful!!!

This is the hard part. You don't want it to be awkward but somehow it always turns that way...
Especially when you drop the pin! Ha ha. She did great!

Such a cute couple!

 Being the gentleman he is!
Here he is stuffing her dress in the vehicle!

Thanks Again McKenzie for letting me thrive on your fantabulously fun-ness of a life! I hope that you had the time of your life! You deserve it!
Love ya!

Tell me I can't do it!

I go to the store one day to pick out a new outfit. Yes it was one of those days. I start browsing and as I am looking at all of the price tags I start thinking, "$30.00 for this? It is basically a sheet that I can drape over myself!" Why clothing is so expensive is beyond me! I get that it is a necessity but soon I will be walking around naked! I keep browsing and then I see it...well her. This fit, skinny, great looking person! "I WANT TO BE LIKE THAT," I think to myself... I will do it. Well a couple of weeks pass by and everyday I am looking in the mirror just wishing I could be like her, but doing nothing about it. I keep watching my pants get tighter. I would try and convince myself that it is not me and that it is simply my pants. THEY KEEP SHRINKING! HOW DARE THEY DO THIS TO ME! Can't they see that my self-esteem is slowly driving itself into the ground!?!?!? I never did convince myself... Well another week passed and I would feel like this:
Yes... "The Ultimate Dream" If only I could erase some of that chub that is not slowly, but QUICKLY becoming part of me. I walked into the living room thinking of some way that I could get into the groove with getting into shape for summer! No more of this, "I am in shape...round is shape." NO I AM GOING TO DO THIS! So I looked in the mirror and thought, maybe if I tell myself I can't do it...I will! So I started writing little sticky notes that seriously told me that I can't do it. If anyone or anything tells me that I can't do it, I WILL SHOW THEM!

So, I wrote them and stuck them a few places...I looked at them, and they actually made me mad! So I sat there saying, "YES I CAN DO IT!" After a few times of saying it, something funny happened. The "YOU CAN'T" fell down and it simply said "DO IT!" It was like someone was tormenting me and then finally just said "DO IT!" So I have been! They say that if you can run an 8 minute mile, you are in pretty good shape. Well I started and I ran a 9 minute mile yesterday. FIRST DAY! I AM FEELING GREAT! I get up the this morning and I felt like a new person already. Today it was an 8 1/2 minute mile. I am going to make it! My goal is not to get super skinny, but simply be toned and in great shape! Well here is to my journey! DO IT! Wish me luck! :)

ZOOPER CUTE!

We decided that because the Zoo was open, that we would introduce Ember to her brothers and sisters...JUST KIDDING! Although, Ember tends to act like an animal ALL OF THE TIME!  Ha ha. We had a wonderful time. We bought her new aviator sunglasses and yes she even kept them on. It was a miracle! We saw everything from birds to llamas, camels, penguins, flamingos, and of course...MONKEYS! There was this particular monkey that caught our eyes though, he was so funny! He had this alarm sounding cry. It was so funny and when Ember got up to the window, he thought it would be great to say, "Hi." He got right up in front of her, turned around, and SHIMMIED! It was the best thing that happened all day to her. SHE LOVED IT. It looks like we will be coming back quite regularly.

Just for Mothers Day!

So Mothers Day was just here and I got the best surprise you could have! Ember Brinlee Marlow started walking. First is was only 6 steps in the morning, but by the middle of the afternoon, she decided that 11 steps would be her best! I was so proud of her. Now the only thing I have to worry about it her running away from me!
